I am profoundly deaf. My hearing has been deteriorating steadily for decades. In December 2010 I was given a Cochlear Implant.
Over a few months my hearing was transformed.
I have a serious debt of gratitude to the people who made this possible, and it is a debt that I would like to try to repay in however small a way.
The team at Crosshouse hospital, Kilmarnock carry out this work, not just on wrinklies like me, but also very young children. Their work is fantastic. If you like any of the pictures on this website please buy one (or more).
Purchasing details are shown below and after all the photographs.
All profits from the sale of photographs will be donated to SCIP, the Scottish Cochlear Implant Programme.
